We arrived in Beijing safe and sound

We made it to Beijing yesterday but Mike and Monica's luggage didn't. We were suppose to get our luggage today but the flight was cancelled.

This morning we visited the Summer Palace this was not part of our itinerary. We enjoyed our visit at the Summer Palace, it snowed a bit during our visit. It was beautiful! We bought a quilt it was 80 Yuan that's approx. 10$ US.

The food is very different here. So far Mike does not care much for what he has tried. He finds it all tastes the same. Tomorrow morning we go to the silk factory then in the afternoon we fly to Nanning, it's a 3 hour flight.

We found out today that Monica's chinese name Lan means "Orchid".
One more day and we will be united with our little princess!!
